Device for preventing the occurrence of water damage following leaks in water supply and distribution pipelines, during a period in which the premises are unoccupied. The invention relates to a device allowing the hot and cold water circuits to be cut off in the absence of an individual on the actual sites, and to allow normal use when the sites are occupied. It consists of a presence detector (1) validating the opening of a solenoid valve (3) (general solenoid for cold water supply and a secondary solenoid for hot water distribution), allowing pumping (cold water and hot water) to the taps (4). Any loss of casual or run-off water cannot take place without the presence of the occupant (in a shower room/WC/kitchen etc.). This device is particularly intended to prevent the occurrence of significant water damage outside the period in which the occupant is present - (without this "fixed" device hindering the user during periods of occupation). <IMAGE>
