Vehicle anti-collision system - has transceiver within each vehicle activating optical or acoustic signal upon reception of danger warning signal

The anti-collision system uses a radio transceiver mounted on the vehicle, for initiating an acoustic and/or optical signal, in response to a danger warning signal provided by the transceiver of a different vehicle. The danger warning signal is activated upon closure of an automatic contact in response to a rapid deceleration or impact, or in response to closure of a manual contact. Pref. the transceiver is contained in a shock-resistant casing and is brough into operation automatically when the vehicle is moving. ADVANTAGE - Prevents shunt collisions.
