The invention concerns an automatic safe door designed for the sealing of the gas exhaust opening from Diesel-generator groups in case of damage, safe doors that can be found in the specialised compartments of ships.According to the invention, the safe door for ships consists of a metallic frame with rigid shutters and a hermetic cover. On the sides of the metallic frame there is a mechanical air-operated closing system made of a simple-action pneumatic cylinder with an adjustable rod. At the end of the rod, there are some beams fixed on supports mounted on the metallic frame that trigger some dogs.
