<p>PURPOSE:To make the apparatus applicable to underground excavation of small diameter by providing magnetic field detectors in matrix within one mine and detecting the position of a magnetic field generator at an end of a boring machine inserted from the other mine. CONSTITUTION:When two rotary excavation shielding machines 11, 12 advancing from two directions come close to each other 30-40m apart, a consolidation type excavator of small diameter provided in front of the shielding machine 12 draws out a boring machine 41 in parallel to an excavation planning line from a predetermined reference point. If a magnetic field generator 42 is provided at an end part of the boring machine 41, and a magnetic field detector 50 having a plurality of coils arranged in matrix is provided in front of the other shielding machine 11, and moreover an axis of the magnetic field of each of the magnetic field generator 42 and coils of the magnetic field detector 50 is agreed with an excavation direction, a receiving voltage at each oil of the detector 50 becomes larger as the extension line of the central axis is closer to the central axis of the magnetic field generator 42. Therefore, if the coordinates of the magnetic field generator 42 and each coil of the detector 50 are prepared, the relative eccentricity and relative declination can be quantitatively known through comparison of the coordinates.</p> |
