摘要 |
PURPOSE:To recognize a pattern at high speeds by scanning a first-dimensional model to the first-dimensional detecting data of an input image and detecting an edge of the model. CONSTITUTION:A TV camera 4 receives image signals of an object 2 including a pattern to be recognized. A mismatching operational circuit 14 scans a model (g) (u) of an edge of suitable size including an edge of the pattern to be recognized for the first-dimensional data in a direction not parallel to a boundary, thereby operating the sum D1n of differences in density between the corresponding pixels for the first-dimensional detecting data sequentially fed as a partial template. An unbalance operational circuit 15 operates the degree of geometric unbalance D2n from an aimed point within the model (g) (u). A first-dimensional edge detecting means operates an evaluating index Dn of the edge from the formula, thereby mapping a point representing the partial template on the x-y-f space to the x-y-D space. The minimum or minimal curve defined by the mapped representative points is detected. |
