Straddle tractor, characterised in that its chassis consists of the assembly, by means of at least two spacer pieces (9, 14), of two monobloc hollow box beams (1), which are substantially parallel, each monobloc box beam (1) carrying two wheels, a rear wheel (3) and a front wheel (4) of smaller diameter, each beam being located above the said wheels; the front spacer piece (9) being in the shape of an inverted U, the median part of which is practically at the same level as the straight rear spacer piece (14) in order to leave a maximum clearance height for the straddled vegetation; each monobloc box beam (1) carrying a rear wheel (3) via a hollow box (8) acting as a casing for the means for driving the said wheel, and a front wheel (4) by means of a hollow tube (7) carrying the pivot shaft (7a) of the said wheel and its suspension means. <IMAGE> |
