PURPOSE:To prevent seal failures by a method wherein a rotary bag feeder supplies bags one by one to chambers and is stopped when it faces one of the chambers in which a heat-seal heater burns out. CONSTITUTION:When chambers 31 begin to cycle along an endless track, pulse signals are issued by a pulse generator 45 corresponding to the rotation angles of rotors 15 and the cycling angles of the chambers 31, and a timing circuit 46 reads out the positions of the chambers 31. An alarm device gives a count start instruction to the timing circuit 46 when a heater of one of the chambers 31 burns out and a change in the electric current occurs. The timing circuit 46 begins to read the movement of the chamber 31 from the position of burnout, and transmits an instruction signal when a surface plate 16 of the chamber 31 arrives at the position opposite to the bag feeder 33 so that bag-supply from the feeder 33 to the surface plate 16 is stopped. As a result, the bag-supply to the chamber 31 in which burnout occurs is canceled, and packaging work is continued only by the normal chambers 31. |
