PURPOSE:To form a print wire featuring better high-speed operability and wear- resistance by fixed application of the hard material onto a wire of Ti-Mo-Zr- Al series alloy out of the Titanium series materials. CONSTITUTION:At the extreme end of wire made of an alloy containing Mo: 11-17%, Zr: 3-7%, Al: 1.5-5.0% and Ti as an impurity drawn to 0.2-0.6phimm. with a cold-working ratio of above 30%, a hard metal tip is fixedly applied. Content of Mo less than 11% causes poor workability of print wire of a diameter less than 0.5phi because of metallographica1 reasons respecting Ti. Further, content of Zr less than 3% gives birth to poor workability because of poor ductility of the alloy. Al affects strongly a strength property of print wire. Hardness of the hard metal less than Hv 850 causes unavailability of the targeted wear-resistance and therefore, Hv 1,100 and more is necessary. |
