The applicator is fitted into the shuttering for a concrete part it consists of a box-shaped metal retainer with lid, for reinforcing rods. Side walls and base are profiled, and formed from a single metal blank. The blank (10) is formed from a profiled sheet metal so that profiling on side walls 814, 15) and base (16) is at right angles to the base edges. Along the latter, the blank has sections (17) at relative distances, to reduce the resistance against bending.
