PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of the device to half and to eliminate a contradictory feeling when the device is equipped by arranging reflecting mirrors and liquid crystals, half by half, and halving the horizontal period of a video signal and displaying the signal on the liquid crystal panels, half by half. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with the V-shaped reflecting mirrors 5 which are arranged at 45 deg. on two axes parallel to an optical axis passing a convex lens 3, at 90 deg. to each other, and connected on sides close to the lens 3, and the video signal in one horizontal period is halved and displayed on the liquid crystal panels 6 and d7 arranged on vertical planes on the axis of luminous flux passed through the two axes and reflected by the V-shaped reflecting mirror 5. This constitution reduces the thickness of the device to half, there is no restriction of its design, and the contradictory feeling when the device is equipped is eliminated. |
