摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the number of delivery processes for a workpiece by conveying a container, becoming empty again after delivery of the workpiece to a polishing holder for polishing, onto the axis of the polishing holder by means of a feeder, receiving the workpiece to the container from the polishing holder, and delivering the containing, containing the workpiece, from the feeder to a conveyor. CONSTITUTION:Through movement of a feeder 21, to which containers 201 and 202 containing workpieces 11 and 12 are fixed, to a position, the workpiece 11 is positioned on the axis of a polishing holder 2. The workpiece 11 is grasped up by the polishing holder 2, and the feeder 21 is returned to its original position to machine the workpiece 11. Thereafter, through movement of the feeder 21, the container is positioned on the axis of the polishing holder 2. After the workpiece is contained in the container, the feeder 21 is caused to meet a conveyor 25. Simultaneously with release of the container 201 from fixing, the feeder 21 is driven to transfer the container 201 to the conveyor 25.
