The invention relates to an alternating (reciprocating) vacuum pump.
<??>Pistons (21) are displaced by connecting rods (14) driven by a crankshaft (16). According to the invention, sealing between the piston rod (23) and the transverse member (11) is obtained with the aid of a leaktight metallic gaiter (bellows) (26), and the bearing bushes (brasses) (151) of the crank pins are formed of an alloy containing a solid lubricating element. The piston rings (211, 213) do not contain any oil. In this way, the pump has no oil at all so that the vacuum obtained is very clean.
