<p>A therapeutical composition comprises hydrolyzed carboxyalkyl cellulose, wherein alkyl is methyl, ethyl or propyl, optionally in salt form, which hydrolyzed carboxyalkyl cellulose has a mass average molecular mass (M^¨B7w) from about 200 to about 10,000. A method for providing a laxative effect comprises the administration of such a composition.</p> |
