<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the side and lower the price of a high-speed, high-quality printer by mounting and connecting a substrate, having liquid crystal driving IC chips and their input wirings, and a liquid crystal light bulb on a package base, and then by arranging a light source. CONSTITUTION:Liquid crystal driving IC chips 11 are molded on a flexible substrates 12 respectively, and the substrates 12 are mounted on liquid crystal driving substrates 13 and 14. On a package base 16, a liquid crystal light bulb 15, the liquid crystal driving substrates 13 and 14 are stuck with epoxy resin, and the flexible substrates 12 and liquid crystal light bulb 15 are wired. The liquid crystal light bulb 15 consists of transparent electrodes 27 and 28 formed on a glass substrate, metallic electrodes 29 and 30 made of Cr-Au, etc., and metallic electrodes 31 and 32 of Cu-Au, etc., as brazed parts; liquid crystal snadwiched between the substrates and polarizing plates crossing ar right angles are provided at both the sides to be irradiated with light from a fluorescent lamp. This printer is operated by applying 1 and 100kHz driving electric power alternately. Thus, a small-sized, inexpensive printer providing high-speed operation and high quality is realized.</p> |
