In order to determine the amount of fuel to be supplied to an internal-combustion engine with intermittent injection and to measure the air flow in the inlet pipe, the invention proposes, in contrast to prior art time-based injection control, a crankshaft angle-based control. Injection is carried out for a length of time (t alpha ) determined by the time taken for the crankshaft ( alpha ) to increase from zero to a pre-computed final value (fuel injection angle alpha i), the integral of amount of fuel injected being adjusted independently of rpm, automatically and without delay, to the engine filling. At high rpm, and a correspondingly small amount of fuel supplied per injection, the number of injections per unit time increases, thus ensuring complete compensation.
