In ultra-sonic cleaning applications, a device uses one or more Piezo-Oxide Elements (PXE) as contact- or surface-oscillators. The PXE element, in partic. PXE ring (5), is assembled in contact with the positive side of a multi-layer wafer or ring, comprising a positive electrode (7), a negative electrode (8) and an insulator (6). Both electrodes are brought out to external contacts (9,10) for supply voltage connection. USE/ADVANTAGE - Liquid bath cleaning of inaccessible component surfaces. Redn. of component count.
