The device (1) disclosed comprises a driven thrower wheel (8) with scoop blades (10). The thrower wheel (8) is open at the circumference, but most of its circumference (13) is covered by a continuous belt (14) which also passes round guide rollers (15, 16, 17). Between the roller (15) which places the belt (14) round the thrower wheel (8) and the roller (16) which lifts the belt (14) away from the thrower wheel (8) is an uncovered section (22) of the circumference through which material (M) can pass out radially in a directional jet. A material deflector (28) can be mounted in the area in which the belt (14) comes on to the thrower wheel (8). The material (M) is fed in through a feed pipe (20) from which it emerges through an opening (21) in a defined direction into the thrower wheel (8) level with the scoop blades (10). |
