<p>PURPOSE:To set a fixed probability of miswarning by calculating the miswarning probability in the fixed time and controlling the threshold level for automatically detecting a target from the value of miswarning probability. CONSTITUTION:First of all, a PRI(pulse repeating interval) counter to count the PRI in a Pfa arithmetic device 8 and an accumulator to cumulate the quantity of detection are cleared to zero by a START. A receiving signal from a receiver 2 is inputted to a prestage signal processor 3 in the state with no reflection signal from the target, to perform an amplitude detection and a clutter suppressing process, etc. Next, in a detection comparator 4, the output of device 3 and the threshold level are compared, and a target detecting processing is performed, and the PRI counter is subjected to increment. The quantity of detection in 1 PRI detected as the miswarning is written in a register for the quantity of hit in the arithmetic device 8 and added to the accumulator.
