摘要 Needling machine for the mechanical interlocking of fibres in a web, has an element included to reduce the speed of the needle bar at the time of needle penetration. The drive is a constant speed, thus the non-productive needle lift is faster. The longer load time allows greater needle penetration. Pref. speed of prodn. is affected more by the material needled, than by the mechanism. If the drive speed is constant, more efficiency will be obtd. if the angular velocity during the period of needle penetration by the bar, is slower than during the top inactive period. ADVANTAGE - For the same prodn. speed, the needling can be faster, and intensified.
