Glass pane distance holder to simplify handling - has suction cup in body block which is released through operation of a ventilating system

The distance holder betwen two vertical or generally vertical glass panes in an autoclave where the glass is covered with a plastics film for the air between the glass and plastics to be evacuated, has a body block with a movable suction cup where the open side of the cup extends from the block. Ventilation between the body block and the suction cup is provided which, when operated, releases the suction cup. The suction cup has an elastic movement within the body block and the ventilation system can be distorted elastically. The base section of the cup is firmly bonded to the body block. The ventilation is through push rods which, when the distance holder is in use, lie in a seal fit at the outlet openings of each lateral drilling, connected to each other and with a relief drilling which ends at the open section of the suction cup. ADVANTAGE - Simplifies the handling of the glass before and after insertion into the autoclave, giving automatic action and release of the suction grip for removal.
