The tubular steel bed has upright posts as well as separate longitudinal beams (8) connecting the head foot parts. These longitudinal beams (8) each have on their end sides at least one threaded bore (7) into which a head screw can be fitted. The uprights are fitted with perforated plates (3) which each have at least one oblong hole (4, 4a) which widens out at one end (4) for passing the head of the screw which is to be screwed into the threaded bore (7). The other end (4a) of the hole is narrower than the diameter of the screw head and has a sunken area in which the screw head is housed. ADVANTAGE - Easy assembly and high stability during use.
