A system for the collection, treatment and return of a patient's blood, comprising means for the performance of the respective steps. �The invention is characterized in that the said means for the treatment of the blood comprise among other things a filter (21) with the help of which superfluous fluid can be removed so as to concentrate the blood. �The filter (21) is appropriately arranged to be included in a recirculation circuit (18) which in turn forms part of a set of tubes (23, 24, 25), preferably intended for single use, comprising also other parts necessary for the treatment. �With the help of the system in accordance with the invention a concentrated whole blood with functioning thrombocytes and coagulation factors is obtained.
