The cigarette packet (1) is made of rigid cardboard and has a flap-lid (3) closing the top of the cigarette-packet. The inside of the lid's surface (9) has a row of adjacent matches (11) positioned in the lengthwise direction of the lid's top surface so that they can be deteched but not lost. The lid's sides (7) gripping over the main part (2) of the packet the outside of which or of the lid has a friction surface (15) for striking the matches on. USE/ADVANTAGE - The cigarette packet offers the smoker the possibility of matches which fit into the usual diemensions of the packet.
