PURPOSE:To easily manage directories, etc., in a DRAW type optical disk by forming the one of two recording sides of a disk for high-density recording (WORM) while forming the other side using such a rewritable recording material. CONSTITUTION:The medium consists of two transparent substrates 3 facing to each other through an air gap 5 each having a recording layer 4. Recording or reproducing is performed with two light beams emitted from opposite directions to two recording layers 4. The one of the optical recording side 1 is used as WORM, while the second optical information recording side 2 consists of a rewritable material. By this simple structure, both of WORM area and rewritable area are provided in one recording medium, and management of directories, etc., for the draw type optical disk is made easy. |
