PURPOSE:To process the read of the image of an original and the write of the electrostatic latent image to an image carrier in parallel by providing an exposing light source in the same type as an illuminating light source for illuminating the original and irradiating the image carrier with an optical signal based on the output of an image sensor. CONSTITUTION:The original 3 is illuminated by the illuminating light source 7 at a stage where the original 3 is drawn out by a paper feeding roller 4 and ejected to the left side by a paper ejecting roller 5, and reflected light from the original 3 is formed into the image on the image sensor 8. On the other hand, the image carrier 10 is driven and electrostatically charged by an electrostatic charger 11, then an exposing part 12 irradiates the image carrier 10 with the optical signal based on image data stored in a memory so as to form the electrostatic latent image. Since the irradiating light source 8 and the exposing light source 12a are in the same type, they can share one driving circuit 23, and they can simultaneously radiate the light because the optical paths thereof are independent to each other. Thus, the read of the image of the original 3 and the write of the electrostatic latent image to the image carrier 10 are processed in parallel. |
