PURPOSE:To avoid use of an improper oil in a simple manner thereby to prevent generation of troubles of a vehicle by measuring the changing quantity of the viscosity of a fresh oil to be checked after heating the oil to a predetermined temperature, and judging whether the fresh oil is proper or improper. CONSTITUTION:A fresh oil 8 is injected and filled into tanks 4, 5 from an oil feed port 2 at the same liquid level. Then, an electromagnetic valve 11 is actuated and only a discharge pipe 9 is communicated with a common discharge pipe 12. The fresh oil 8 in the tank 4 is discharged. Passing of the oil 8 is detected through power supply between electrodes 16, and the time t1 until there is no oil left to flow is measured. Subsequently, a heater 15 is made conductive to heat the fresh oil 8 in the tank 5 to a predetermined temperature. A discharge pipe 10 is communicated with the common discharge pipe 12 by the electromagnetic valve 11, so that the fresh oil 8 in the tank 5 is discharged. The time t2 is similarly measured through power supply between the electrodes 16. The difference t3 between t1 and t2 is calculated and compared with the difference t0 of a standard oil. If the difference t3 is smaller than t0, the oil is judged to be proper, which is displayed at a display device 21. Accordingly, it is possible to judge whether a fresh oil is proper or improper in a simple manner. |
