<p>Described is a Stirling engine with a housing interior (1) divided by a reciprocating gas-permeable regenerator plate (4) into two spaces (6, 7). One space can be heated and the second is fitted with a cooling unit (13). The second space (7) is linked to a work cylinder which acts through a first drive device (9) on a transmission shaft (14) or a flywheel (10) and through a second drive device to the regenerator plate (4). The invention calls for the housing interior (1) to be wedge-shaped and the regenerator plate (4) to be mounted to rotate about an axis (5) located at the point of the wedge. The design proposed for the interior (1) of the housing and the rotary mounting of the regenerator plate (4), which also acts as a displacer piston, means that the displacement function of the regenerator plate (4) is carried out wholly by a low-wear rotational movement about the axis of rotation (5).</p> |
