A high-frequency coaxial cable (1) is crimped into a female coaxial connector (2), the inner conductor being terminated in a spring-finger socket (4). It is engaged by a compatible plug (7) with an insulating coaxial sleeve (5) shrouding their contact. Outer contact is made through a ring of spring fingers on the plug (34), bearing on the outside of the socket housing (26). A semi-rigid sleeve (6) over the plug-end with an interior groove (31) engages with a raised collar (9) on the socket outer as they are united. An outer sleeve (16) over the end of the socket engages simultaneously with a raised collar on the plug-sleeve (33) to complete a sealed assembly. ADVANTAGE - Readily seperated by hand yet remains firm against unintentional separation even when exposed to vibration.
