The transport vehicle undercarriage has at least one wheel (39) axle (38) freely rotatably steerable. It is mounted on a carrier (40) rotatable about a vertical axis (41) and possibly trailing behind the swivel axis (41). At least one axle may be a lift axle, i.e. vertically movable and/or movable in longitudinal vehicle direction. The steering is effected by cylinder (43), and the mid-position of the axle carrier is located by spring-loaded members (46,47) engaging a groove (48) in the carrier.
