The device for the top removal of silage from a silo has a conveyor member and a fodder entrainment member (11) which spins the fodder into the suction pipe of a blower. In front of the rotating entrainment member (11) at the end there is a guide body (13) and on the side of the latter facing the rotating entrainment body (11) there is at least one baffle member (14a, 14b, 14c) which keeps back and pulverises the incoming fodder. The baffle member is pref. an angular element whose one arm is connected to the guide body and whose other arm faces the conveyor. ADVANTAGE - Even when clumps occur the milling process is not affected and blockages do not build up in the suction pipe.
