Surfacing injection mouldings with film - by placing surface film plus barrier film in mould before injecting thermoplastic shot behind them and bonding all materials together
摘要
Surfaced plastic mouldings are produced by injecting thermoplastics behind a layer of the surfacing material in a mould. A separating film is placed behind the surfacing film already in the mould; the thickness and stiffness of this separating film depend upon the temp. and pressure used, so that when the thermoplastic is injected into the mould it flows along the smooth separating film without moving it; when the mould is filled this film is sufficiently fused and/or softened, by the temp. and pressure used, to weld or bond to the thermoplastic and to the surfacing film such as a fabric.
