<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the accurate quality evaluation value of rice readily by selecting sample rice having a specified grain diameter with a grain-size selecting device, and thereafter measuring the rate of content of the specified component of the sample rice. CONSTITUTION:Sample rice is supplied from a supplying hopper 10. The sample rice is crushed into fine particles in a sample crushing device 12 through a grain-size selecting device 11. The crushed rice is received with a sample con tainer and moved into a rear-infrared spectrochemical analysis device 3. The rate of content of the specified component contained in the rice is measured with the analysis device 3. The quality evaluation of the sample rice is performed based on the measured value. There are personal difference in a sensory test based on taste, and a long time is required. Skill is required in chemical quantitative analysis. With the near-infrared sepctrochemical analysis device 3, the quality of the rice can be accurately evaluated readily in a short time. Since the grain diameter of the sample rice is made constant and the measurement is performed, the difference in rate of content of the component due to the magnitude of the grain diameters of the sample rice is eliminated, and the accurate quality evaluation value is obtained.</p> |
