The arrangement is for a window or door soffit of a concrete wall, partic. a cellar wall, and a casing frame (10) has an insulating lining (15) on its outer surface to keep in heat. To remove the casing frame from the window or door aperture, lining is releasable and on its outer surface (18) has means for fixed union with the wall concrete. The insulating lining (15) is provided for the outer soffit (8) for a prefabricated window (1) or door fitted with a casing frame, and is formed from inhibitor plates. It is connected to the casing frame (10) at regular points by adhesive, and on its outer surface (18) has ribs or similar for anchoring purposes. USE/ADVANTAGE - To insulate a window or door soffit, partic. in a cellar wall, in order to retain heat.
