Ventilator casing for coolant blower in motor vehicle - has roller bearing between belt-driven pulley and tightly enclosed fan secured against rotation w.r.t. engine
摘要
The engine (1) is cooled by air from an axial fan (4) driven via a fluid friction clutch (3), pulley (2) and V-belt from the crankshaft. The casing consists of a sleeve (5) and hub (7) connected by pref. three spokes (6) of plastic, one of which is fixed to the engine (1) by a shaft (9) through an elastic bushing (9'). The pulley shaft (2') passes through a roller bearing (8) in the hub (7). Air is drawn through corrugated rubber sleeving (11). ADVANTAGE - Losses reduced with min. blade clearance (a) in easily assembled and dismantled structure affording ready access to V-belt.
