A pull-type clutch wherein the inner peripheral portion (9a) of a diaphragm spring (9) is clamped between a lever plate (4) on the outer periphery of a release bearing (1) and a retainer plate (6), is characterized in that the lever plate (4) has a radially outwardly directed flange (5) at the forward portion in the axial direction of tubular main body (40) thereof, the retainer plate (6) has a plurality of radially inwardly extending pawl pieces (81) and further a plurality of radially inwardly and axially forwardly extending projecting pieces (82) at suitable intervals on the inner periphery of a disc-like annular main body (7), a groove (41) is formed in the outer periphery of the tubular main body (40), the retainer plate (6) is fixed to the outer periphery of the tubular main body (40) with the forward ends of the pawl pieces (81) being fitted into the groove (41) and the inner peripheral portion (9a) of the diaphragm spring (9) is clamped between the flange (5) and the disc-like annular main body (7) on the radially outer side than the projecting pieces (82). |
