<p>PURPOSE: To calibrate an exposure apparatus for a photosensitive material wherein an image is to be formed, by a method wherein the spectral response of a combination of a detecting device and a filter is made to conform with that of the photosensitive material and an exposure level of each array of light-emitting diodes is modulated. CONSTITUTION: Separate measurement of the energy of each light-emitting diode is conducted by a detecting device through a filter and the spectral response of a combination of the detecting device and the filter is made to conform with that of a photosensitive material in the range of a wavelength of emission of the light-emitting diode. With this measurement of the energy used, an exposure level of each array of the light-emitting diodes is modulated. Taking into consideration a difference in the wavelength between the emission of the light-emitting diode and the spectral sensitivity of a photosensitive medium in this way, an exposure apparatus including the array of the light-emitting diodes is calibrated for the photosensitive material wherein an image is to be formed.</p> |
