发明名称 ELECTRODE CATALYZER LAYER FOR FUEL CELL OF PHOSPHORIC ACID TYPE
摘要 PURPOSE:To allow a supplied gas to disperse sufficiently by laminating layers containing catalyst and PTFE in a specified proportion alternately with layers containing a relatively great amount of PTFE. CONSTITUTION:An electrode catalyst layer construction 2b consists of alternate laminate of No.1 catalyst layers 8 and No.2 catalyst layers 9 on a porous base material 1 for electrode, wherein each catalyst layer 8 is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) 5 and catalyst 4. The No.1 catalyst layer 8 contains the catalyst 4 and PTFE in a certain specified proportion and works chiefly with the catalytic action. The No.2 catalyst layer 9 contains PTFE relatively much and forms supply gas passages 10 as main mission. These gas passages 10 lead through a region continued in the direction across the thickness of the laminate owing to this structure in which a plurality of layers are laid.
