PURPOSE:To attain highly accurate data transmission with simple constitution by using a couple of optical transmission media (transmission lines) so as to send an optical signal expressed complementarily. CONSTITUTION:A transmission section 10a sends differential optical signals by a couple of light emitting elements 11, 12 through plural optical transmission media 15, 16 corresponding to the light emitting elements 11, 12 respectively. Concretely, either of the light emitting elements 11, 12 is lighted in response to 0, 1 of the digital signal to obtain an optical signal and it is sent through a couple of the optical transmission media 15, 16 corresponding to the light emitting elements 11, 12. On the other hand, a reception section 20b is provided with a couple of photodetectors 21b, 22b corresponding to the optical transmission media 15, 16, the sent optical signal is received as a differential signal, amplified and discriminated. Moreover, the light used for the transmission and the light used for the reception have different wavelengths and the optical transmission media 15, 16 are used in common for the transmission and reception by providing a demultiplexer means 251b, 252b in the reception section 20b. Thus, highly accurate data transmission is attained with simple constitution. |
