PURPOSE:To easily execute the operation of an apparatus to be operated without giving a sense of incompatibility to a user by providing an apparatus operation input means of icon use having a function corresponding to a function of a real operating panel of the apparatus to be operated, and transmitting operation input information from the apparatus operation input means to the apparatus to be operated by a communication means. CONSTITUTION:With respect to an electronic apparatus such as a copying machine/printer 6, etc., connected to a network 1, remote control is executed by a computer connected to the same network 1. The computer is provided with a window opened by an icon as an apparatus operation input means 4. Its window has an operating panel-like display having a function corresponding to an operating panel of an apparatus to be operated, in its opened state, and a virtual operating panel can execute the same operation input as that of a real operation panel by a mouse and a keyboard, etc. In such a way, input information which is subjected to operation input by the virtual operating panel by the window is transferred to the apparatus to be operated through a communication means 5 and the network 1. Accordingly, a user can execute an operation of the apparatus to be operated without a sense of incompatibility. |
