PURPOSE:To provide a projector lamp device equipped with excellent anti- glaring property by forming a shield plate from a semi-transparent material, and installing this shield plate below No.2 focal point, etc., where the light from a light source situated at No.1 focal point gathers. CONSTITUTION:A shield plate 17 which shuts off the beams of light passing below No.2 focal point f2, is located at No.2 focal point f2 or in the neighborhood thereof where the light from a light source situated at No.1 focal point f1, and a convex lens with the focus adjusted on the No.2 focal point f2 is installed ahead of this shield plate 17. This shield plate 17 is made from a semi-transparent material. This permits part of the light to be cut originally to pass through the shield plate 17, and it is then led toward the convex lens 16. This through beam of light is cast upward above a horizontal cut line, which consists in the upper edge of the shield plate 17, and illuminates the area above the cut line palely. This provides excellent anti-glaring property to work against a car passing by or going ahead. |
