发明名称 PERFECT DISCHARGE DEVICE FOR ZINC-BROMINE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To equalize the differing discharge capacity from battery stack to stack in a mean value by furnishing a valve to put in mutual communication or shut the exhaust pipings of a plurality of battery stacks, switching the valve to the communication side at complete discharge, and thereby mixing together the electrolytic solutions in the stacks. CONSTITUTION:A flowpath changeover valve 46 is installed to connect the exhaust side piping 32b of a stack 12b with the exhaust side piping 32a which leads from the neg. electrode side reaction container of another stack 12a to a neg. electrode side electrolyte storage container 18a. The valve 46 is set in the shut stage as shown by solid line at the time of charging and discharging, and the electrolyte circulating systems of two unitary cells A, B are held independently from each other. In case complete discharge is made with a load resistance 10, changeover is made into the direction as shown by the broken line to accomplish the communicating state. Thereby the electrolyte in the two stacks 12a, 12b is mixed together. That is, the electrolyte in both stacks is used commonly at the time of complete discharge to allow functioning as a whole in the same fashion as a battery system embodied in a single body.
