PURPOSE:To enhance the storage performance and prolong the cycle life by furnishing a protrusion, groove, or recess at the contacting part of a neg. electrode plate with a battery case, at the surface of either of the two members or at the surfaces of both. CONSTITUTION:A LiAl alloy plate containing 3 parts by wt. Li is punched off into a disc, and a protrusion 1 is formed on its one side of by means of press shaping, to provide a neg. electrode plate 2. This neg. electrode plate 2 is placed on a neg. electrode battery case fitted with packing wherein that side of plate 2 provided with the protrusion shall face the neg. electrode battery side. Further a barrier separator, refill liquid separator, LiCo composite oxides constituting a pos. electrode plate and a pos. electrode battery case are put one over another in the sequence as named, and then the battery is sealed with a metal piece to fit. This permits tight contacting of the battery with battery case without interposing of liquid film when a pressure is applied to the electrode at the time of sealing the battery, and increase in the internal resistance can be suppressed remarkably. |
