PURPOSE:To obtain a glucagon useful for the diagnosis of insulinoma and the first aid for hypoglycemia, etc., by producing a glucagon as a fused protein and cutting the glucagon from the fused protein with an enzyme. CONSTITUTION:The objective glucagon is produced by preparing a fused protein of formula (X is leader sequence composed of 70-170 amino acids; Glucagon is amino acid sequence of glucagon) and cutting the protein with an enzyme capable of specifically cutting the C-terminal part of GIu. The fused protein of formula is preferably produced by transducing a manifestation vector capable of manifesting the protein into E.coli and culturing the obtained transformant. |
