PURPOSE:To efficiently execute the confirmation test of an abnormality recovery processing function in a data processing system by providing a means for holding abnormality information including time information by which a processor becomes a pseudo fault state on a monitor, and confirming the propriety of the abnormality recovery processing function, based on these pieces of information. CONSTITUTION:A monitoring device 12 monitors the abnormality of respective processor (11-1), (11-n), and when the processor falls into an abnormal state, it is detected, and its abnormal event is accumulated as abnormality information in a holding means 14 together with its generated time information. When all the processors 11 of the system become an abnormal state, system down occurs, and when it is detected, the monitoring device 12 generates a reset command to all the processors 11. Subsequently, respective processors (11-1)-(11-n) execute a restart processing, and the system is restarted. This restarted time information is detected by the monitoring device 12. In such a manner, whether an abnormality recovery processing function in a data processing system functions normally or not can be confirmed automatically. |
