POLYAMIDES WITH INCREASED THERMO-OXIDATION RESISTANCE

The solution concerns polyamides with increased resistance against thermooxidation. The principle of the solution consists in polyamides with increased resistance against thermooxidation prepared from lactam or lactam mixtures by hydrolytic, anionic or cationic polymerization method, or from diamines and diacids, containing from 0.2 to 2 percent by weight of mixture of stabilisers, i.e. aminic stabiliser of a structure expressed by formula I, where R is α-methylbenzyl, x is independently on y equal to 1 to 3, y is independently on x equal to 0 to 3, and phosphitic stabiliser of the structure expressed by formula II, where R<1> is tert.butyl, R<2> is tert.butyl, or possibly hydrogen, R<3> is tert.butyl or possibly α,α-dimethylbenzyl, while the weight ratio of amine to phosphite is 1 to 3. The stabilisers can be added individually in arbitrary order, or in a mixture, i.e. to the monomer before polymerization in the amount of 0.1 to 1.0 percent by weight, calculated per polymer, of either of the substances, optimally in the amount of 0.5 to 1.0 percent by weight of mixture of stabilisers at the weight ratio of components being 1 on the one hand, or into the reacting mixture in the course of polymerization or even into the finished polymer on the other. It is possible to introduce them in the matter applied or sorbed on filling agents. The presence of the above mentioned mixture of stabilisers protects the matter against undesired oxidation.<IMAGE>
