<p>PURPOSE:To constitute a file management function for memory by providing a data protect unit for dividing information from the outside into the reloadable and unreloadable regions of EEPROM and transmitting said information. CONSTITUTION:Because EEPROM3 can electrically reload information from the outside via CPU2 and store said information, the EEPROM attaches a protect code for making the information correspond to pages of a EEPROM3 for successively storing the information, for dividing the address in the EEPROM 3 into reloadable region (white part) and unreloadable region (part indicated by oblique lines) and for causing only the reloadable region to store the information. The protect code is constituted from the binary code of '1' or '0' and instructs the EEPROM3 that reloading of information to be stored is permitted or not, and '1' indicates reloadable instruction while '0' indicates unreloadable instruction. Normally, peculiar information such as a card user's secret code number and personal history is cited as information making reloading impossible and business data, past record of a car itself, etc., are cited as information making reloading possible.</p> |
