PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent piezo-electric motor with high driving efficiency, high speed and easy designing by laminating horizontal effect piezo-electric bodies, making non-resonating vibration in the direction of vibration, resonating and vibrating an exciting source in the direction at approximate right angles to the direction of vibration to give the bent vibration, and making relative motion of a vibrator and elastic body. CONSTITUTION:Horizontal effect laminated type piezo-electric bodies 20 are polarized in the direction of the thickness, and they are alternately laminated with feeding electrodes to form a construction. The horizontal effect lamination type piezo-electric bodies 20 of vibrators 10 are controlled in accordance with geometry such as length and thickness so as to make bent vibration with a secondary mode having free ends of both ends in specific frequency in the direction of the thickness by vibration of a piezo-electric body 21. While, in free frequency in the direction of the length, expansion and vibration are made in a state of non-resonance. According to the constitution, a piezo-electric motor having no limitation on driving frequency can be formed, and as a result, the excellent piezo-electric motor with high driving efficiency, high speed and easy designing can be realized. |
