PURPOSE:To improve strength of a green compact and to enable production of thin compact by adding and mixing the specific quantity of thermosetting resin powder into raw material powder for molding green compact and hardening this added resin at the time of press molding. CONSTITUTION:Into the raw material powder for molding green compact (e.g. Fe-C, Fe-Mo-C, etc.), 0.2-2.0wt.% thermosetting resin powder (e.g. epoxy resin powder, acrylic resin powder etc.) is added and mixed. This mixed powder is press-molded and the resin is hardened with exothermic reaction at the time of press-molding. By this method, the green compact improving the strength is obtd. and the thin compact is obtd. and this is available to assembling type cam shaft, etc. |
