PURPOSE:To reduce product costs, enhance a degree of freedom on the design of vehicles, extend the operating region of a pretensioner to lower acceleration region, and improve the feeling of stability by using a torsion coil spring as a power source. CONSTITUTION:A power source constituted by a torsion coil spring 1 transmits driving force obtained by releasing distortional force pressure-accumulated in the spring 1 to the element composing a seat belt device, and performs the functions to give tension to the element and to give pretension to the seat belt device. In case where the element is webbing W, the webbing W is pulled to give pretension to the seat belt device. |
