METHOD OF SYNTHETIC OILS PRODUCTION ON BASE OF POLY-N-BUTENES FROM C4-FRACTION RESIDUE

The solution concerns a method of production of synthetic oils based from mixtures of hydrocarbons released as C4-fraction residuum from the production of methyl-tert.butyl ether. The method according to the solution consists in the fact that in the mixture of hydrocarbons the amount of methanol is reduced to a value lower than 3000 ppm and 1-butene present at least in 20 percent by weigh is copolymerised with cis- and trans-2-butenes present in summary amount larger than 10 percent by weight at initiation by liquid complexes prepared from aluminium chloride, aromatic hydrocarbon and hydrogen chloride or chlorinates hydrocarbons. During the performance of the method according to the solution the polymerization proceeds at a temperature of -70 to 100 degrees C, while the temperature range in the course of polymerization does not exceed 15 degrees C. After the polymerization the low-boiling volatile parts are removed.
